January Update

Happy New Year 2013!  The Ultimate Answer participated in the Fred Talk on Jan 2, 2013. The topic of the presentation was “Hector and the happiness formula”.

“Once upon a time there was a young psychiatrist called Hector who was not very satisfied with himself…
Hector works with patients, who don’t necessary suffer from any psychological disorders but are simply dissatisfied with life and are clearly unhappy. He can’t help them and that is beginning to depress him.
Hector takes a trip around the world to learn what makes people happy-and sad. As he travels from Paris to China to Africa to the United States, he meets many different people and learns many valuable Lessons.
Along the way Hector constantly reassesses what ‘happiness’ means, realizing how very different it can be in different circumstances.”From the book “Hector and the search for happiness” by Francois Lelord.

Happiness is different things to different people. Happiness is how satisfied we are with what is important to us, but we can choose and decide what we pay attention to when we build our happiness. We are the creators of our personal happiness formulas!

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Road Less TraveledThen took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
